SigmaOpt is the optimisation special interest group of ANZIAM. The group consists of a forum for Australian and New Zealand optimisation specialists to interact. Our group organizes every year special sessions, and broadcasts access grid talks, on optimisation topics. Our aim is to bring together scientists from Australia and New Zealand to:
- Maintain, promote and develop the theory and practice of optimisation and optimal control;
- Attract students and early career researchers to the discipline;
- Stimulate a sense of community amongst practitioners;
- Disseminate our research topics and emphasize their impact in our everyday life.
How to Join SigmaOpt
To become a member of our group, you must join ANZIAM. If you are a member of AustMS, then membership to ANZIAM costs an extra 12 AUD per year. . Visit the AustMS website for a membership application form: www.austms.org.au/application-form.html
